Teacher of the Quarter Awards
The Education Committee, chaired by Bobbi Coleman, quarterly asks each area school to select a Teacher of the Quarter. The committee chair, accompanied by Mayor Fred Costello, School Board member Judy Conti and Chamber Director Mary Rhodes, visit the schools and present the award personally to the lucky teachers. The teacher is usually surprised when this group comes in to present the award because it has been kept a secret. Only the principal of the school knows.
