In this colored pencil workshop instructed by Kathi Darby, students will learn a different approach to start a piece, focus on rendering a smooth surface, blending and burnishing, and rendering textures. Students are responsible for most supplies; please see the supply list below. The instructor will provide a line drawing, reference photo and instructions. This workshop is appropriate for beginner-intermediate students. Registration Deadline: Feb. 14 at 3pm SUPPLY LIST: Prismacolor pencils recommended: Indigo blue, Ultramarine blue, Violet blue, Aquamarine, Light aqua, Light cerulean blue, Sienna brown, Sand, cream, Spanish orange, Canary yellow, Yellow chartreuse, Black cherry, Process red, Raspberry, Magenta, Spring green, Apple green, True green, Grass green, Dark green, white, black. *You can use other brands and/or mix colors if preferred. Other supplies: Erasers: kneaded, battery, mono zero Colorless blender (if you wish you may also use a solvent and small brush or blending marker) Paper (at least 80lb weight - higher is better) Sharpener Transfer paper or light box (the instructor will have light boxes available to borrow)
